With the champions tag from 2007 fresh in their minds, Upolu Samoa has sent a strong message to other teams that again they are going to be hard to beat in 08. Travelling away to Churchill Park in Fiji did little to put them off their game, even though the local team the Fiji Barbarians scored early, the Samoans took control and their grip just got firmer as the hot muggy evening went on.  more ...

Bold headed Ikaletahi Captain Nili Latu was welcomed in the Tautahi Golds Camp when they arrived in Tonga last Saturday. Nili Latu who is now playing in Japan returned home to Tonga after a successful debut season with his Japanese Club, and a successful tour (IRB Sevens Circuit) with the National Sevens team. Yesterday his fellow team mates (Tautahi Golds Forward Pack) all had their hair boldly shaved to camouflage their international star captain from the desperate Tau'uta Reds robust forwards.   more ...

Fiji national coach Ilivasi Tabua and his fellow selectors have named a 30-man squad for the Air Pacific Fiji Warriors to compete in the upcoming IRB Pacific Rugby Cup, together with eight reserves.
