Oceania Under 19s- Two Samoa sides to clash
Rugby is known for great rivalries and this brings out the best in our game, today we see the 2 Samoa’s battle for bragging rights.
Separated by a strip of the Pacific Ocean, Samoa and American Samoa are two separate counties. With the America part in their name it is clear to see the influential country for American Samoa, left hand drive, big cars and American stores it is a Pacific mini state.
Western Samoa, commonly known as Samoa, if the Pacific one of the two. They both boast beauty and tropical bliss, but Samoa is Island Styles through and through.
Today they clash on the footy field in the final match of today’s play. American Samoa is very new to this level, they state they are in awe of the teams here in this competition, but they pledge to compete and beat within 5 years.
The home team Samoa will be feeling rather confident after their last match, after scoring 109 points it is hard not to be. Their biggest challenge will to stay grounded and play well.
Their close brother country will want to test them, with nothing to lose they will have a go at the more fancied team. They showed character in their last match and will be looking to score more tries and start their rugby legacy.
