With the round robin play over, the knocks and bruises get a wee rest ahead of this weekends final of the PRC in Suva-Fiji.

Muscle men of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga have been ripping into each other over the past 3 weeks, finalists the Warriors and the Barbarians are in rest mode ahead of the eagerly anticipated final this Saturday.

Up until now it has been another match every 4 days, this will be taking it’s toll on this athletes, but for 2 teams they have one more crack at each other to go.

In round 1 the Barbarians tipped their much more fancied rivals the Warriors, looking on paper the Warriors have a heap of talent and experience, this was disregarded in game 1. This initial loss could well have scuttled the Warriors defence of their PRC trophy, instead it was the spark of pain to kick start them into a fluid style.

This commanding form they found, has ripped through the defences of Samoa and Tongan teams to once again feature in the final. On form alone, you would be hard pressed to think anyone can stop them now. Injected into this fine unit are 2 key players- Machine centre Ropate Ratu and robust open-side flanker Jimilai Naikadawa.

The good part is form is a myth when the whistle blows, the Barbarians know this very well and once again will want to spoil the Warriors party.

Right now the teams are based in Sigatoka, this is the home of the High Performance Unit, they are resting, pumping iron and going through the moves to polish their attacks.

Teams move up to Suva on Wednesday and we will bring you the latest images, video interviews and updates ahead of the final.
