The Pacific in Union Program is a partnership between Oceania Rugby, the Australian Rugby Union and the Australian Government, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The aim of the program is to improve lives in Pacific Island communities through Rugby. The Program is currently being delivered in Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Solomon Islands. The initiative combines an inclusive field curriculum that introduces the fundamental skills of rugby through fun games-based activities with the “Rugby for Schools” classroom resource that has been designed to complement the education curricula in our partner countries. To date over 40,000 children have participated in the program – 42% of whom are girls.
