PRC – Boots are laced in Fiji
Last years finalists in the PRC final are in a must win situation in the 2010 PRC, both the Fiji Warriors and Upolu Samoa are looking down the barrel after first up losses.
Fiji is bracing itself for a hive of rugby activity tomorrow as the PRC round 2 kicks off in Lautoka. The Sugar City of Fiji will be treated to 3 international games in a day, all will be bruising to say the least.
At 11 am Savai'i Samoa will take on Tautahi Gold, the winner will leap to the top of the table as both these teams were victorious in round one. As we are seeing with our game rugby, things sometimes don’t go to plan and so early on in this competition, it is getting critical. One of these teams will make a move on the pack.
The young Fiji Barbarians team will be eager to keep their momentum going and topple the Tau'uta Reds in game 2. The Reds will still be hurting after a beating, the Babas will be confident & hopefully grounded after their massive victory last hit out. Lautoka is a dry track and with a 2pm kickoff it will make for a fast encounter.
The heavyweight matchup of the day will be at 5 pm as the defending champs the Fiji Warriors play Upolu Samoa in a repeat of the 2009 final. These two are the big boys in the comp and both will be feeling the heat of potentially losing 2 matches in a row. This is far from the way they thought it would pan out, however for the rugby public it will create a must win game that will bring out the best of Pacific blends.
After each of these matches we will be bringing you the photos and match reports from the sideline, stay tuned.
