The ANZ proudly announced they are right behind the PRC this season, the matches kick off tomorrow, but the commitment was delivered today in Suva- Fiji.

In a low key press conference in Fiji’s capital city Suva, the big boss of the FRU and Norman Wilson -CEO of the ANZ Fiji were on hand to deliver the good rugby news.

Scenes were jovial and they even chucked a few balls around in expectation of tomorrows bruising action. Mr Wilson revealed that in his prime he was in the front row on the field, Keni remained silent, like most Fijians he probably slotted in anywhere but the front row.

“Rugby and the Pacific go hand in hand- and as the leading bank in the Pacific with a presence in 12 Pacific countries, we’re delighted to support this event,” said Pacific CEO Michael Rowland.

“We are happy to host the Pacific Rugby Cup this year just as we did the Pacific Nations Cup last year. We look forward to a feast of rugby in the next few weeks, “ said CEO Fiji Rugby Union, Keni Dakuidreketi.

The feast indded begins tomorrow (May 6th) in Fiji, the Fiji Warriors and Barbarians will get us underway. Kick off is at 5PM Fiji time, this will have the first half in daylight and 2nd 40 under lights. The forecast is for a dry track and no doubt both teams will chuck everything at each other to start well.
