TAUTAHI GOLDS IN TIGHT CONTEST AT THE TOP OF THE PRC TABLE AFTER ROUND 3

The Tautahi Golds sit in second place after another convincing win over the Savaii Samoa in the weekend. The Golds picked up their second bonus point and elevated to second place giving them confident ahead of this week’s clash against the Fiji Barbarians.

The second place Tautahi Golds is ready to host the Barbarians here this weekend. “We have put last week’s game behind us, we are working hard to improve areas of our game that was lacked last week,” said Liueli Fusimalohi. Vice-captain Isileli M. Tupou is the only player from last week’s winning team with injury, the rest of the boys are in good condition.

“This week’s game is no easy game, you can’t afford to give the Fijians the slimmest of space, they’ll punish you all day,” Fusimalohi admitted. “Our fitness is good, our preparation is going well, and there is no reason why we can’t repeat last week’s performance. We defended well, we attack well and the team’s effort was outstanding,  we need another solid performance this week and next week if we are to be in the final,” Fusimalohi concluded.
