Bold headed Ikaletahi Captain Nili Latu was welcomed in the Tautahi Golds Camp when they arrived in Tonga last Saturday. Nili Latu who is now playing in Japan returned home to Tonga after a successful debut season with his Japanese Club, and a successful tour (IRB Sevens Circuit) with the National Sevens team. Yesterday his fellow team mates (Tautahi Golds Forward Pack) all had their hair boldly shaved to camouflage their international star captain from the desperate Tau'uta Reds robust forwards.

After completing his debut season with his club in Japan, Mr. Latu joined the National Sevens team in the last lag of the IRB Sevens Circuit  before returning home to Tonga hoping to have game time in the Pacific Rugby Cup campaign to maintain his game fitness and composure for the 2008 Pacific Nations Cup in June.

He was warmly welcomed by the Tautahi Golds Camp last Saturday when they arrived in the kingdom. "When you have players like Nili Latu knocking on your door asking to play, you throw him onboard and put him in the frontline" said Liueli Fusimalohi. " The Tautahi Golds not only accepted me but they named me in the starting 15, it's a blessings," Nili Latu admitted.

Last night the Tautahi Golds forward pack vowed to protect their international star captain Nili Latu from the Tau'uta Reds robust forward pack. His fellow team mate knows how good he is, and they also know that the Tau'uta Reds will be targeting him all day so they decided to shave their hair to camouflage him, making everyone in the forward look alike. Whether this plan works on Saturday or not I'm just happy to see them work and do things as a group and as a team.
