Tauuta Reds vowed to set things right with Upolu Samoa
Tau’uta Reds players have vowed to set things right with the Upolu Samoa champion’s team. “We are well over last year’s disappointment; the boys are now stronger, fitter, faster and determined to start the campaign on a high,” said Sione Fetuani.
Members of the Tau’uta Reds team that went down to Upolu Samoa in last year’s final vowed not to let the memory affect their game on Saturday, and their 2008 PRC campaign. Ikaletahi back coach and Tau’uta Reds head coach Sione Fetuani, believe that his boys got what it takes to upset the PRC champion’s team.
After careful analysis of previous Upolu Samoa games, the Tau’uta Reds coaching staffs are confident that they have the answer to winning the game, and their boys will come out on top.
“We know how good the Upolu Samoa is and we respect them. We have done our homework, we work hard on areas of our game that we wanted to improve, and basically we are on top of our game,” said Fetuani. Sione Fetuani also added that “the pressure is on the visitors; they are away from home, first defend of the title etc. we should make good use of our advantages”
Sione Fetuani today named his side to play the Samoans on Saturday at Teufaiva in Nuku’aklofa. His lineup includes few Ikaletahi players from last year’s PNC and RWC. The iclusion of 2007 RWC Ikaletahi scrum half Enele Taufa, prop Sateki Mata’u and 2007 PNC Ikaletahi Lock Isileli Fine, flanker Atunaisa Sikalu and Sevens speedster Ualosi Kailea add strength and depth to the Tau’uta Reds.
We are very happy with our injury list, we can put our best players on the field to play the Upolu Samoa.
