Fiji to play South Africa in USA Sevens Final

Latest buzz: South Africa and Fiji will play in the 2011 USA Sevens final after beating joint Series leaderes England and New Zealand respectively in the Cup semi finals of the fourth leg on the 2010/11 HSBC Sevens World Series. 

Dan Norton and Tom Powell had given England a 10-0 lead but tries from Cecil Afrika, captain Kyle Brown and an Afrika penalty gave Paul Treu's side a first Cup final since the 2010 London Sevens afte their 17-10 victory. The last time they won a Cup final was the 2009 Australia Sevens in Adelaide. 

They will play Fiji, who last last played in a Cup final at the 2010 NZI Sevens, after Iliesa Tanivula's side scored four tries against New Zealand through Seremaia Burotu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Mitieli Nacagilevu and Nikola Matawalu in an enthralling game of Sevens that ended 26-7 at the Sam Boyd Stadium.
 

Earlier, hosts USA lost to great rivals Canada and will now compete for the Shield. Scotland, France and Wales join Canada in winning their Bowl quarter finals to reach the semi finals on day two of the USA Sevens whilst USA will now play Uruguay in the Shield semi finals.
