The Black Ferns have convincingly beaten England A 48-3 this morning at Esher RFU.

The Black Ferns ran in seven tries in the match, with winger Carla Hohepa scoring a double and halfback Kendra Cocksedge, tighthead prop Beth Mallard and substitution wingers Huriana Manual and Kelly Brazier all dotting down.

Centre Anika Tiplady contributed 21 points to the Black Ferns’ total kicking five conversions, two penalties and scoring a try.

Coach Brian Evans praised the efforts of his team.

“We had a particularly good second half as the players grew in confidence. It was very pleasing to see some stunning running rugby,” he said.

The Black Ferns play England in their second and last Test at Twickenham this Saturday 21 November in a double header that sees the All Blacks take on England as a curtain raiser.
